Oxygen sensor or lambda


Any changes in the sensor output will be ignored in this state. It tells the computer if the fuel mixture is burning rich(less oxygen) or lean (more oxygen). The lambda sensor is also referred to as the Oxygen (O) sensor plays a very important role in the control of exhaust emissions on a catalytic equipped vehicle.
