Dachshund markings

Dachshund Colors pages are one of the most popular sections of our site. Isabella Dachshunds are a fawn or silver colored Dachshund (very similar to aweimaraner) with tan points. Patterns in dachshund coats include dapple (light or diluted markings over the color), brindle (black streaks over the color), and piebald (large areas of white over the color).

This is because to create this hair type a smooth haired dachshund was bred with the terrier breed. Again: white appears on the dachshund only when an actual base color has been effected by one of the genetic factors that creates white markings on that base color.

Cream Dachshunds are the same except that their markings are a light cream instead of a reddish-brown or tan. The next favorite of mine is the lovely Black and Tan Dachshund.

A piebald would be a dachshund that is white with colored markings. He has a long body and face like a dachshund and markings like a beagle. The excellent quality construction and attention to details extend from its stubby legs to its pointy snout. You also will see cream in place of the tan markings on some Dachshunds. So our dog max is pure breed dachshund he is consider wild boar markings mixes of reds and blacks and we believe that he got our neighbor dog pregnant and she is dachshund but she is all black with tan markings above her eyes. Double Dapple is the colour of a dog that is the result of mating two Dapple Dachshunds together. She takes after her dad inpersonality and both parents in looks.
